I am struck by the wide range of people employed in Information Technology.
Whilst there are always those whose quality shines through,
manifested as a desire to provide the best possible Business (not merely IT!) solutions,
backed up by the highest level of skills,
many more seem to concentrate on building systems THEY want,
because they are easy, or use the technology that might enhance their CVs,
or provide the quickest route to market before moving on to the next job.
Often the real business needs are an irritating irrelevance to be sidestepped at all costs.

The biggest problem writing the words for this website has been that everyone
says exactly the same things. We have tried to steer away from buzz-words and
'industry-speak', because we would prefer to be open and honest with our clients.
Not hide behind jargon. We are not Microsoft or Accenture, and we are not trying
to be. Pud and myself share a belief that what we do should be creative and have
value to those who end up using the fruits of our ideas. What we do is NOT rocket
science, but neither is it trivial, and the skills required to build successful
systems extend beyond just the technical.
