Two of the founding directors of Idea Engineering, Pud Christmas
and Andrew Papas set up the PX Partnership early in 2004, after nearly
ten years of success providing consultancy to Investment Management
clients, to enable them to pursue their different vision of the role
of information technology in business.
Why did we form PXP?
We feel that there is an attitude from "IT" people that, put simply, means -
"THERE'S TOO MUCH TECHNOLOGY AND NOT ENOUGH INFORMATION"
Despite massive technological change in the last two decades, enabling
a revolution within businesses, most managers and decision makers still
regard, in our experience, investment in Information Technology with a
high degree of caution and uncertainty, because it is centred on the technology,
rather than on the person using it.
How is PXP different?
We have always been more interested in delivering usable, coherent Information
Solutions than tinkering with Technology. We have built our reputations on the
systems we have delivered, through a creative and pragmatic approach, not on
the tools we use.
It would be wrong to suggest that technology is not important, but it should
only ever be the MEANS and never the END.
